Physical + Digital Integration
The challenge extended beyond the product itself, requiring a seamless integration between physical design and UX/UI. Every interaction, from placing the test to reading the result, had to feel intuitive, guided, and error-free. The hardware defines the gesture. The interface gives it meaning. Together, they create a unified experience where form, interaction, and information work as a single system ensuring clarity, trust, and efficiency in critical moments.
Designing the Universal Test Reader meant translating complex diagnostic technology into a product that is intuitive, robust, and ready for real world healthcare environments.
The result was a system that not only met clinical and usability demands, but was also recognized with the European Product Design Award in 2021.
